What is polly pocket?

Polly Pocket was a popular toy line that was first introduced in 1989 by the American toy company, Bluebird Toys. The toys were designed to be small and portable, making them easy to carry around and play with on the go. The original Polly Pocket toys were small plastic dolls that came with miniature playsets that opened up to reveal tiny, detailed worlds for the dolls to explore.

Over the years, the Polly Pocket line expanded to include a variety of different dolls, playsets, and accessories, including cars, airplanes, and even a Magic Kingdom castle. There were also themed lines such as Polly Pocket Fashion Collection and Polly Pocket Sparklin' Pets, as well as various character tie-ins, such as Disney Princess Polly Pocket and Spongebob Squarepants Polly Pocket.

In 1998, Mattel acquired the brand and began producing their own version of Polly Pocket toys. These newer versions were slightly larger and often came with more elaborate playsets, but still maintained the same portable and compact nature of the original line.

Polly Pocket toys are still popular with children today, and there are many collectors who enjoy seeking out and trading vintage Polly Pocket sets.
